Camping

マルクのお母さんたちとキャンプへ来ています。想像していたキャンプと全く違い、キャンプ場に止めてあるキャンピングカーというより庭付きの小さなセカンドハウスのようです。キャンピングカーを購入し、年中ここに止めてあるそうです。庭は、全て自分たちで造ったそうで、倉庫内に木を切る機械まで揃っており、良くできています。

夕食はバーベキュー、といってもここではハンバーガーです。美味しかったです！！

(We have been coming to camp with Marc’s mother. The camp is so different from what I expected. It looks like more of a small second house with a garden than a camping car at the campsite. They bought this camping car and put here all year around. The garden was made by themselves. There is a cutting machine for woods and everything is very well.

We ate BBQ: hamburger at dinner. That was delicious!! )

Montreal

火曜日にモントリオールに戻って来ました！歩道には花が植えられ、木にも葉が繁り、冬場の雪景色とは一転。4月にここをでた朝は、雪が降っていましたが今は全く違う景色です。

朝7時には全く疲れなく目が勝手に覚めます。朝7時なのに午前10時くらいの感覚です。マルクは午後1時くらいに感じるそうです。まさに時差ボケです。

ドイツからフィラデルフィア経由で、USエアウェイズを利用して帰って来ました。アメリカの航空会社、経由はいつも不快な思いをすることが多く、今回もまたいろいろ不満を感じつつ帰ってきました。フランクフルトの空港のチェックインカウンターの前で、セキュリティーに捕まり、約20分間の質問を受けました。そのおバカなセキュリティーは何度か同じ質問を繰り返すあげく、ドイツでは｢W｣の発音が「B」の為、何を言っているのか全くわからず三毛に皺をよせて聞き返すことが多かったです。

航空会社システムのせいでインターネットからのチェックインができなかった為に、カウンターでチェックイン。カウンターーのスタックが、フィラデルフィアでの乗り継ぎ便を間違えて発券。予約時間と違う便に乗ることになりました。おかげでフラデルフィアで5時間待つことに。更に、フィラデルフィアでのパスポートコントロールで30分も列に並びました。アメリカではひどい時は1時間並ぶこともあります。乗り換えに間に合いそうになく、ラストコールで自分の名前が呼ばれているのを聞きながら空港内を走ったこともあります。他にもムカつくことがたくさんあるので、二度とアメリカ乗換えは利用したくないといつも思っています。

さて、ここでの生活がいよいよ始まります。今後、私はしばらくモントリオールに滞在する予定です。彼はまた来週火曜にメンフィスへ旅立ちますが・・・。

We came back to Montreal on Tuesday! The snowscape in winter developed because flowers planted on the sidewalk and many leaves have grown on trees. When I left here on April morning, it was snowing. But now, the sight was completely changed.

We wake up at 7am perfectly without tiredness. It’s 7 am, but I feel that it’s about 10am. Marc says he feels it’s already 1 pm.  This is just jet lag.

I came back from Germany via Philadelphia by using US airways. I was often displeased with airlines of American, and then I was also disgusted this time. The security guard asked me many question for 20 mins in the front of check-in counter of Frankfurt airport. The stupid security sometimes repeated same questions. I couldn’t understand his questions because “W” of pronunciation was “B” in Germany, so I asked him his questions many times with frown.

I couldn’t do check-in the day before because of their bad system, so I had to do at airport.  But, the counter staff put out the wrong flight ticket from Philadelphia. I should have taken a different flight I reserved and waited for 5 hours at Philadelphia airport. Besides, I lined for 30 mins at passport control of Philadelphia. In worse case, we should wait for 1 hour in US. Therefore I almost missed my flight once, so I had to run inside airport as I heard my name was being called at last call. There’re other a lot of disgustful things for me, I don’t want to transfer at US any more.

Now, our life was restarted at Montreal. I will stay here for a while from now on. But he has to go to Memphis from next Tuesday again.

The last day at Toulouse

美術館に行ってきました。その中にある中庭にたくさんのハーブや花があり、時々つまみ食いをしてました。チェリーの木があったので、より赤い実を選んで食べましたが、酸っぱくて失敗･･･。

夕食は今朝マルシェで買ってきた浅利を白ワイン蒸しに。間違えてデザートワインを買ってきてしまったので少し甘めになりましたが美味しくできてました。

(We went to Museum. There were many flowers and herbs inside the courtyard and we sometimes ate those secretly. Though we picked up more red fruit from a cherry tree, it’s so sour! I blew it!!  Our dinner was steamed clams which we bought at the marche this morning. I bought a dessert wine by my mistake and the taste was a little bit sweet, but good!!)

Steak

今日、全仏オープンの女子シングルファイナルがありましたね！私が応援していたイタリアのフラチェシスカ･スキアボーネが優勝して嬉しかったです！今週毎日テレビで全仏オープンを見ていて、今日もジムのランニングマシーンで走りながら試合開始時刻に合わせてテレビのスイッチを入れました。彼女は前年度の全仏オープンでは1回戦で敗退し、年齢も29歳にして今年グランドスラムを達成しました。すごい！！彼女の笑顔はこちらまで笑顔になるような嬉しそうな顔で、人柄の良さはテレビからもよく伝わってきて心から応援していました。
さて、今日はマルクの同僚がステーキの食べ放題に連れて行ってくれました。今日は彼らたちのここToulouseでの仕事の最終日でした。フランス人たちが大好きな無意味なミーティングについていろいろ不満があるようでしたが、お疲れ～。私たちもようやくモントリオールに帰れます！！

(Today is the day for the Roland Garros finals of lady's singles.I'm so happy because the player: Francesca Schiavone who I really have supported, won the finals! I have watched this tournament on TV every day this week, so I turned on the TV up to the starting time of the match with running at gym today. This tournament last year, she lost the first game and she became a grand slam champion this year at the age of 29. Wonderful!! Her smile that made everyone smile looked very happy and we could recognize her good personality from TV, so I could support her from the bottom of my heart.

By the way, a colleague of Marc took us the restaurant of all we can eat steak. Today was the last day for them to work here Toulouse. They seemed to have a lot of complaints against many insignificant meetings French people love though, Otsukare!!! At last, we can go back to Montreal soon!! )

Swimming

今日はお天気もよく、ホテルのプールでたくさんの人が過ごしてました。私は夜7時(といってもまだ明るいですが)に泳ぎに行き、日焼けしたくないので日陰で45分くらい泳いでいました。ところが、くっきり水着の跡が残ってしまいました。2月にサイパンに行った時の水着焼けがまだ残っていたのに追い討ちをかけるように焼けてしまい、これからの夏が心配です。

(Many people were spending at pool of this hotel in the nice weather. I went swimming about 7pm: it's still light outside, and I kept swimming for 45 mins in the shade in order to safeguard against sunburn. But, I have a  swim-wear mark on my body clearly after swimming. The mark of swim-wear which I got in Saipan this February was still left though, it's gonna worse. I worry about this summer forward.)

●この町はレンガ造りの建物が多いです。下の写真はホテルの部屋から見える近隣の建物です。(There are many brick buildings. I took a picture of buildings overlooked from our room, see below. )⇒

●フランス人については、(一部を除いて)親切、おしゃべり好きな人が多いと感じます。パリではよく喧嘩しているカップルを見かけました。パリであるカップルが大声で喧嘩しており、何人かの近隣住人がバルコニーや窓から喧嘩を興味津々で見ていました。喧嘩していた男性が女性に対して言いすぎた為にブーイングが飛んでいました。なんてお節介、いや親切なんでしょう。

(Most of the French; except a part of, are kind and talkative. We often saw couples quarreling in Paris. A couple was quarreling loudly in Paris and some of neighbors were watching interestedly from their balconies and windows. The guy quarreling said too much to his girlfriend, so the crowd surrounding booed at the guy. How officious people, no, kind!!)

●Toulouseのダウンタウンはいつも人がたくさんいます。この町の人は、働いていないのかな？っとパリでも同じことを思いました。観光客でもなさそうです。

(I can always see many people at the downtown Toulouse. I wondered if people work and saw the same scene in Paris. The people didn't seem to be tourists. )

●フランスを旅行した方であれば誰しもが町を歩いて思うこと・・・、犬の糞が多い！！これでもここ数年で前よりはずっと改善されてようです。

(What everyone who traveled in France think that there are many dog's dirt! Strange as it may, those dirt have decreased in recent years.)

Longchamp

母へのお土産を購入しました。パリで見かけたLongchampのエッフェル塔の絵柄入りバックです。今日電話していた時に「何か目ぼしいものあった？」と聞かれ、パリで見かけたものと同じバックがここでもあるという話をしていたところ、「買っておいて！」と言われたので購入しました。次にいつ会えるかわからないけれど、自分で使わないように気をつけよーっと！

(I bought a souvenir to my mother. It's a bag that I saw in Paris with a Eiffel tower design. When I called to her, she asked me"Did you find something your favorite?" and I told about a bag I found the same thing as in Paris. Then, she said "Please buy it!" and I bought. I don't know when we can meet next, but I should take care not to use it for myself until I give her...)
